Chennapatna is almost an extension counter of the Bangalore branch of the Forum. It is a major panchayat where women workers of Working Women's Forum (India) are mostly engaged in agarbathi and sericulture activities like silkworm rearing. Few women workers are engaged in leaf plate making, toy making and beedi rolling. There is a sizable amount of minority community women who are engaged in both beedi and sericulture work. Forum initiated to extend credit activities through ICNW in the year. Today, Chennapatna has 9378 members in 300 villages.
